Baccarat Table Information

Baccarat Table is rather large in size, and for those players who have played big blackjack coups it may resemble a blackjack table. A classic baccarat table is mostly used in the American baccarat, at the same time the mini baccarat has a smaller copy of it (for more information about mini baccarat table see the mini baccarat).

A common baccarat table consists of three parts, two of which are almost the same with the only exception of numbers: one part has numbers of the range of 1 to 7 printed on the green felt, while the other has the numbers from 8 to 15. The two parts are located at  the end of a baccarat table. By the way betting options are as well written there. In the middle you will see 'tie 8 to 1', then 'bankers' and 'players'. The central area of a baccarat table hosts a place for a croupier.

Though fifteen players can play the same coup at a baccarat table for there are fifteen seats available, only fourteen players play it. You may ask why? What is the seat that shouldn't be taken? The number of the seat is thirteen. Oh, yes, you have guessed why it's the seat number thirteen that remains vacant during all the coups.  It's so, for all the ancient and contemporary beliefs say that number thirteen is unlucky. Actually one can't find  the seat with number thirteen, because there is none. Therefore a player number thirteen will occupy the fourteenth seat and the fourteenth player will take the seat of the fifteenth number. All the players have three sections in front of  them corresponding to 'tie', 'bankers' and 'players' to put bets on. Keep in mind that all the bets should be laid before a coup begins.

Any player can take any vacant seat at a baccarat table, but no croupier's or dealers' places. A croupier runs a baccarat game and takes decisions about wins and losses of every hand, as well as controlling what a commission of each player is. One dealer serves the interests of the players of one end of a baccarat table, while the other deals with the won and lost bets of the players that have numbers from 8 to 14. May your bets be only winning baccarat!
